studio601 is modeled after the nineteenth century atelier, where the artist oversees trained assistants who execute the works. Located in the Chelsea gallery district in New York City since 2001, the artist and founder, Paul Kolker, uses his atelier for artistic production and as an exhibition space dedicated to curatorial pursuits.
